It has been a while since I have posted a new dog treat recipe. I am currently working on publishing another edition of The Collaborative Canine, so things have been crazy! While working at a recent show a few of the participants owner’s asked me if I actually use the recipes found in the dog cookbooks that I publish. My response was, “Of Course I Do!!!!”
Before I started publishing dog cookbooks I was hard at work baking homemade dog treats for The Beggin’ Beagle Bakery. I have owned a small dog bakery for the past four years and this is really where the passion behind the books comes from. I had a dog that loved to eat, so I decided to bake for him one day and the rest is history. I wouldn’t put my name on something that I didn’t believe in. I think that feeding your dog a healthy diet is very important and making your pet homemade meals and homemade pet treats is rather beneficial for a number of reasons. You will actually save money if you cook for your pet but more importantly you will know that your pet is not ingesting any harmful by-products that so many pet foods are full of.
I hope you and your pet enjoy all of the recipes and that you learn a lot about homemade dog treats while reading my blog! If you are not the baking type then you should visit The Beggin’ Beagle Bakery for some great homemade dog treats!
