How To Make Homemade Gourmet Dog Treats
I have learned that while the majority of pet owners are mostly concerned with feeding their furry friends healthy snacks they also enjoy pampering them too. What a lot of people don’t know is that it really isn’t that difficult to do so. Try this easy recipe for homemade gourmet dog treats and give your pup a taste of the high life.
Carob Cornered Dog Treats
2 1/4 cup oat flour
1/4 canola oil
1/4 cup apple sauce
1 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. molasses
1 cup carob chips
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add egg, apple sauce, honey, and molasses and mix until dough forms. Roll dough to 1/4″ thickness on a lightly floured surface. Place treats on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Let cool.
Carbob Chips: melt charb chips in microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir and put back in for another 30 seconds. Dip each treat into the melted carob and then place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Let cool and serve.
