I started making dog treats at home about 6 years ago. When I first began, I really had no idea what I was doing and a lot of the recipes that I came up with evolved through trial and error. All of the recipes that I am going to share with you on my blog were created in my kitchen. However, I did get a lot of my ideas from recipes that I found on the Internet and in dog treat cookbooks. I then tweaked these recipes to make them my own. This is a great way to create an original yet tasty dog treat.
Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some of my favorite dog treat recipes with you. I am going to start out with what I would consider to be my top 10 dog treat recipes and then I will add to the list. I also plan on sharing some ideas and tips for decorating and packaging homemade dog treats too. I have been baking dog treats for over 6 years and I look forward to sharing everything that I have learned along the way!
