I have an event coming up in June so I have been busy working on some easy dog biscuit recipes peanut butter style that I can use for this show. Working at local craft fairs is actually how I started my business and it’s a great way to get your name out there. Because the event is rain or shine, I have to make sure that I choose my dog biscuit recipes carefully. Why? well, a lot of the homemade dog treats that I make will spoil after a short period of time, so I don’t want to be stuck with a ton of homemade dog treats that I can’t sell. Even though I have a website, you can’t predict what people will order, so it’s better to choose recipes that have a longer shelf life or that can be frozen and then used at a later date.
One of the best types of dog biscuit recipes to use in a situation such as mine is something with peanut butter. The salt that is naturally found in peanut butter acts as a nice preservative and allows you to keep this type of dog biscuit longer. It’s also a good idea to use oat flour. Oat flour has a decent shelf life and if you use it you will find that your homemade dog biscuits have a much better shelf life. So I’m going to share an easy recipe for oatmeal peanut butter dog treats.
Peanut butter oatmeal cookies for dogs have always been one of my best sellers, so this actually works out well:)
