I happen to have three kids at home and my two boys love helping out in the kitchen. My daughter is only 5 months old, so she can’t really get involved yet, but I’m sure when she gets older she will be right in the mix. Anyway, while we were making Christmas cookies last year, we also made homemade dog treats for our dog Hunter. I use very simple dog treat recipes when working with my kids. No need to complicate things! My boys had a ball cutting out the dog treats in holiday shapes and then decorating them too. And remember, it doesn’t have to be Christmas to make these treats for your pooch. You can find cookie cutters in just about any shape, so this is a great rainy day or cold winter day activity! Valentines day is coming up… why not make your pet some heart shaped dog treats this year!
