Buffy’s Parmesan Poodle Treats


2 cups oat flour

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup lukewarm water

2 cups chicken stock

2 tbsp. olive oil

1/2 cup parmesan cheese

1/2 cup nonfat powdered milk

2 tbsp. dried parsley

1 tbsp. baking powder

1 egg

1 tbsp. milk (glaze)

Directions: Preheat oven to 325F. In large bowl, add stock, oil, cheese, dry milk and herbs. Gradually blend in the flour, baking powder and rolled oats. Add enough oat flour to form a stiff dough. Place dough on a floured surface and knead until smooth. Shape the dough into a ball and roll to 1/2 inch thickness, Using floured cookie cutters, cut out treats. Place on ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 1/4 inch apart. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven. In small bowl, whisk together egg and milk for glaze. Brush both sides of treats with glaze. Bake for an additional 30 minutes. Let cool overnight.
